Timothy E. Brown, CPA
Since it’s inception, Timothy E. Brown, CPA, LLC, has been focused on providing superior services through attestation, consulting and taxation best practices. Timothy is best known for his professionalism, integrity and technical expertise.
Timothy has over 25+ years of accounting experience spanning multiple industries, including not-for-profit organizations. He began his career at a local public accounting firm and also has experience with a national consulting firm and an international public accounting firm. Timothy has extensive experience in tax preparation and planning for high-net-worth individuals, including business owners, athletes, and entertainers. Timothy also has experience in reviewing and testing internal controls. Timothy has provided management consulting services, including forecasts, projections, budgets, and agreed-upon procedures.
Timothy earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (Pine Bluff, Arkansas) and has been a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia since 1998. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA), and the National Society of Black Certified Public Accountants (NSBCPA). Timothy also has earned Not-for-Profit Certificates I & II from the AICPA.

Akeela Hicks
Manager, Private Practice Support
Akeela Hicks has over 15 years of accounting and finance experience. She has worked for both Fortune 500 and private companies, where she has gained extensive knowledge about US GAAP and IFRS. She has worked in a range of industries, including healthcare, mining, and manufacturing, while becoming skilled in full cycle accounting, system implementations, Internal Controls & Sarbanes Oxley, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and consolidation.
Akeela earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and her Master of Accounting from Georgia State University. Akeela is active with her family and enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and going back home to Pine Mountain, GA, to spend time with her parents and family.
Samantha Pittman
Senior Accountant
Samantha Pittman is an experienced Senior Accountant with an undergraduate degree and a Masters of Science in Accounting from Rhodes College. She has over five years of not-for-profit audit and tax preparation experience and has worked closely with Executive Directors while performing her duties. Samantha also has experience in preparing individual tax returns and business tax returns of for-profit entities. She firmly believes clients should have a collaborative working relationship with their accountants.
